Bottle Stop Rewards Program Terms & Conditions

1.     Overview

1.1.   Bottle Stop Rewards is the customer loyalty program operated by Bottle Stop throughout Australia (excluding the Northern Territory and restricted postcodes).

1.2.   By registering as a Member, or by collecting, accessing or redeeming any Member Benefits (Online or In-Store), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (Terms).

1.3.   By joining the program, you expressly consent to receive marketing communications from Bottle Stop in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time in accordance with clause 14.

1.4.   Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

2.     Key Program Updates (Effective 2 April 2026)

The following changes apply from 2 April 2026:

2.1.   Points are no longer limited to “Eligible Shops”. Points will be earned on every dollar spent on eligible purchases, unless otherwise stated.

2.2.   Members with Inactive Accounts will have any remaining points balance deleted from 1 April 2026. Inactive Members have 30 days from publication of these Terms to redeem their balance (i.e. 30 days from 2 March 2026).

2.3.   Bottle Stop is trialling an In-Store loyalty program at Bottle Stop Kyneton. These Terms apply to In-Store purchases from 2 April 2026.

2.4.  Members earn a minimum of 1 point per $1 spent. Points convert on a pro-rata basis.

 

1.     Definitions and Interpretation

1.1.   Definitions

(a)   Bottle Stop means bottle-stop.com.au and participating physical stores.

(b)   Bottle Stop Rewards means the loyalty program described in these Terms, excluding Northern Territory and restricted postcodes.

(c)   Bottle Stop Rewards Account means the Member’s Online account.

(d)   Bottle Stop Rewards Points means the points on purchases made at Bottle Stop which may be Collected and Enjoyed by Members in accordance with these Terms.

(e)   Bottle Stop Rewards Dollars means credit issued once points are converted at the rate specified in clause 7.

(f)    Collect means earning points.

(g)   Enjoy means redeeming Rewards Dollars.

(h)   In-Store means Bottle Stop Kyneton at Shop 3/89 Mollison Street, Kyneton VIC 3444.

(i)    Inactive Member means a Member who has not made a purchase at Bottle Stop in a continuous 12-month period.

(j)    Member means an individual whose membership has not been terminated.

(k)   Member Benefits means Bottle Stop Rewards Points and Bottle Stop Rewards Dollars, excluding expired introductory or bonus points.

(l)    Online means www.bottle-stop.com.au or via the Bottle Stop smartphone app.

1.2.   A reference to dollars of ‘$’ means Australian dollars.

1.3.   If part or all of any clause of these Terms is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions of these Terms will continue to have full force and effect.

 

2.     Eligibility and Membership

2.1.   Eligibility

(a)   Membership is open to individuals:

(i)    aged 18 years or over;

(ii)   with a valid Australian residential address.

(b)   Membership is not available to companies, trusts, partnerships or other entities.

2.2.   Registration

(a)   Membership is free. There are no fees to continue as a member.

(b)   You may register Online or In-Store.  If you choose not to register yourself as a member, you may not be able to take advantage of any Member Benefits. 

(c)   By registering, you:

(i)    accept these Terms;

(ii)   consent to marketing communications (subject to opt-out rights);

(iii)  agree to the Privacy Policy.

(d)   Only one membership per person is permitted.

(e)   Membership is non-transferable.

2.3.   Refusal or Termination

Bottle Stop may refuse, suspend or terminate membership in accordance with clause 17.

3.     Earning Points

3.1.   Earning Rate

(a)   Members earn a minimum of 1 point per $1 spent on purchases Online or In-Store.

(b)   Bottle Stop may:

(i)    Exclude certain products from earning eligibility;

(ii)   Offer bonus or promotional point boosters; or

(iii)  Personalise offers based on Member profiles.

3.2.   Point Crediting

3.3.   Points are credited:

(a)   For Online purchases: upon payment confirmation and order acceptance;

(b)   For In-Store purchases: upon successful payment.

3.4.   Points may be reversed where:

(a)   Goods are returned;

(b)   Refunds are issued;

(c)   Points were credited in error;

(d)   Points were obtained through misuse or fraud.

4.     Conversion of Points

4.1.   100 Bottle Stop Rewards Points = $1 Bottle Stop Rewards Dollar. Points convert on a pro-rata basis.

4.2.   Conversion occurs automatically on completion of the sale.

4.3.   Bottle Stop may change the conversion rate with at least 30 days’ notice.

5.     Redeeming Rewards Dollars

5.1.   Redemption

(a)   Rewards Dollars:

(i)    may be used Online at www.bottle-stop.com.au or via the Bottle Stop smartphone app; or

(ii)   may be used In-Store at Bottle Stop Kyneton.

(b)   To redeem:

(i)    Online: select Rewards at checkout;

(ii)   In-Store: provide your registered mobile number.

(c)   There is no minimum balance required to redeem your Rewards.

(d)   Points convert on a pro-rata basis.

5.2.   Rewards Dollars:

(a)   are not transferable;

(b)   are not redeemable for cash; and

(c)   cannot be refunded or exchanged except as required by law.

 

6.     Expiry and Inactive Accounts

6.1.   Standard Expiry

(a)   Points and Rewards Dollars expire if no points are earned or redeemed within a continuous 12-month period.

6.2.   Inactive Members

(a)   If you have not made a purchase at Bottle Stop within 12 continuous months, you are deemed an Inactive Member.

(b)   For Inactive Members, Points and Rewards Dollars will automatically extinguish after 12 months.

(c)   Importantly, any Member who has not made a purchase at Bottle Stop in the 12 months immediately preceding 2 March 2026 will have 30 days from 2 March 2026 to redeem any remaining Points or Rewards Dollars balance. From 1 April 2026, any unredeemed balance held by those Members will be extinguished.

7.     Other Promotions and Benefits

Bottle Stop may offer additional promotions, exclusive offers or third-party benefits. Separate terms may apply.

8.     Member Responsibilities

8.1.   Members must:

(a)   keep its account details current;

(b)   maintain log-in details and password confidentiality;

(c)   not share account credentials; and

(d)   use membership for personal and household purposes only.

8.2.   Points may only be earned and redeemed for personal consumption. You cannot use the Membership Benefits for commercial purposes (which includes not-for-profit association purposes) or for any purchases of goods that could not reasonably be for personal and household use (either because of the nature or quantity of the goods).

8.3.   Any tax liability arising from participation is the Member’s responsibility.

 

9.     Prohibited Conduct

9.1.      Bottle Stop may suspend or terminate membership immediately where it reasonably suspects:

(a)   fraudulent accumulation of points;

(b)   misuse of promotional offers;

(c)   commercial-scale purchasing;

(d)   conduct contrary to these Terms;

(e)   dishonesty or wrongful conduct; and/or

(f)    bankruptcy or death.

9.2.      Upon termination, unused Member Benefits are forfeited unless required by law.

 

10.  Privacy and Data Use

10.1.   Each Member acknowledges that Bottle Stop collects, uses and discloses personal information about the Member for the purposes of administering the Bottle Stop Rewards program, providing Rewards and Benefits, and undertaking the activities described in these Terms. This clause must be read together with the Privacy Policy, which contains further details regarding the processing of personal information.

10.2.   Bottle Stop collects personal information about each Member (including products and services purchased or used) for the following purposes:

(a)   to market products and services to the Member, including those offered by Bottle Stop, its partners and selected third parties who Bottle Stop believes may have products and services in which the Member would be interested. This is one of the primary purposes of Bottle Stop Rewards program;

(b)   to facilitate participation in the Bottle Stop Rewards program, including:

(i)    assessing membership applications;

(ii)   awarding Bottle Stop Rewards Points;

(iii)  confirming eligibility for, and providing, Rewards and related products or services; and

(iv)  enhancing and personalising the Member’s experience;

(c)   to generate consumer insights (alone or with third parties) in order to better understand Member preferences, tailor experiences, improve products and services, and communicate relevant offers, including by collecting and combining information from third parties or public sources;

(d)   to detect, investigate and prevent fraud or suspicious activity;

(e)   to improve the Rewards program, website, In-Store services and other services, including through product development, behavioural research and market analysis; and

(f)    for general operational management of the Rewards program.

10.3.   For these purposes, Bottle Stop may disclose personal information to:

(a)   suppliers and program partners to facilitate participation in loyalty programs;

(b)   related or group companies;

(c)   third-party service providers who assist with administering the program, marketing, analytics, fraud prevention or providing products and services; and

(d)   law enforcement agencies, courts or regulators where required to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests.

10.4.   Bottle Stop will collect, use, store and disclose personal information in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these T&Cs. By registering as a Member, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy.

10.5.   If a Member does not provide requested information, participation in the program and access to Member Benefits may be affected.

 

11.  Marketing Communications

11.1.   At Bottle Stop, we love communicating with you about the Bottle Stop Rewards program. This includes sending you points boosters, and partner offers, plus asking you for your valuable feedback. 

11.2.   By registering as a Member, you provide your express consent to Bottle Stop:

(a)   to send marketing and promotional communications via email, SMS, telephone, post, in-app notifications and digital advertising, including:

(i)    member offers and promotions;

(ii)   supplier and partner offers;

(iii)  product specials and updates;

(iv)  competitions and entertainment offers; and

(v)   newsletters and program updates;

(b)   to combine personal information with data obtained from third parties to create aggregated customer segments for analytics, personalisation and marketing purposes;

(c)   to provide targeted advertising when you are logged into your account or using our website or app; and

(d)   to otherwise use your personal information for the purposes described in these Terms.

11.3.   You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by:

(a)   clicking “unsubscribe” in marketing emails;

(b)   using the opt-out link in SMS messages;

(c)   contacting Customer Service at info@bottle-stop.com.au; or

(d)   adjusting relevant account or device notification settings.

11.4.   Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent Bottle Stop from sending essential service communications, including account notices, product recall notices, password resets, or updates to these Terms or the Privacy Policy.

11.5.   If you do not wish to receive any communications (other than those required by law), you may terminate your membership by contacting Customer Service or deleting your account via the Bottle Stop website. Termination requests will be processed within 2 business days.

11.6.   If you opt out of marketing, Bottle Stop may continue to provide non-targeted online or in-app advertising.

11.7.   Further information about access to or correction of personal information is available by contacting Customer Service. Only the Member named on the account may access Membership information. Members are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy

12.  Program Changes or Termination

12.1.   Bottle Stop may change, suspend or terminate:

(a)   The Bottle Stop Rewards Program;

(b)   these Terms;

(c)   earning rates;

(d)   redemption rates; and/or

(e)   eligible products.

12.2.   Material changes will be notified with at least 30 days’ notice where reasonably practicable.

12.3.   If the program is terminated, Members may redeem points during the notice period unless Bottle Stop ceases operations, enters liquidation or administration, in which case Member Benefits may be cancelled immediately.

12.4.   Continued participation after notice constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

 

13.  Limitation of Liability

13.1.   Nothing excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13.2.   All conditions and warranties as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods supplied by Bottle Stop pursuant to these T&Cs, whether express or implied by statute, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13.3.   You agree that any comments, suggestions or recommendations you may receive from us or others as part of Member Benefits may not be suitable, accurate or complete and you must not rely on them in a way which may give rise to any loss or damage. If you intend to rely on anything in connection with the Bottle Stop Rewards program, your reliance should be based solely on your own judgement, including as to the extent to which you should obtain or use any Member Benefits. 

13.4.   To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bottle Stop’s liability in connection with the Bottle Stop Rewards program, including in negligence, breach of contract or otherwise is limited to:

(a)   re-supply or repair of goods; or

(b)   reinstatement of disputed points, dollars or benefits.

13.5.   Bottle Stop is not liable for:

(a)   delay or non-issue of Member Benefits;

(b)   program suspension or termination;

(c)   change of Terms;

(d)   loss of unused points upon lawful termination.

15.  Governing Law

15.1.   These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Members submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Victorian courts.

15.2.   If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed without affecting remaining provisions.

 

16.  Member Questions & Answers

Q1: How do I earn points?

You earn at least 1 point per $1 spent on eligible purchases Online or at Bottle Stop Kyneton.

Q2: How do points convert to rewards?

Points convert at a rate of 100 points = $1 in Rewards Dollars and convert on a pro-rata basis.

For example, 120 points equals $1.20 in Rewards Dollars, which you can apply as a discount to your order

Q3: Where can I use my rewards?

Online at bottle-stop.com.au or In-Store at Bottle Stop Kyneton.

Q4: Do my points expire?

Yes. Points and Rewards Dollars expire after 12 months of no activity.

Q5: What happens if I don’t shop for 12 months?

Your account becomes inactive and your balance may be deleted.

Q6: Can I transfer my points?

No. Membership and Member Benefits are personal and non-transferable.

Q7: Can I opt out of marketing?

Yes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the links in communications or by contacting customer service.

Q8: Can Bottle Stop change the program?

Yes. We may update or terminate the program with notice where required.

Q9. What are my responsibilities in relation to my membership:

Please keep your personal details updated by updating your Bottle Stop account or emailing the Bottle Stop customer service team. This is because, if you don’t keep your personal details up to date, we may not be able to provide you with your member benefits, and we may need to cancel your membership.

It is your responsibility to keep your Bottle Stop account details safe and secure. Please treat your Bottle Stop account log-in membership number/email and password as your confidential information. You must take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised use or access to your Bottle Stop account, and information about your membership, including your account password. This includes that you must not use a password for your Bottle Stop account which you have used for any other of your other online accounts. You acknowledge that unauthorised access to your Bottle Stop, account and personal information may occur if you do not take these steps.
